Something not so good happened today. The supreme court of the netherlands approved a decision against a coffeeshop owner. When you’re fluent in dutch you can read the ruleing at rechtspraak.nl. The prosecutors where watching “de achterdeur” to find the stock of a well running coffeeshop.
What does the sentence mean?
I’m not a lawyer so my conclusion might not be accurate or even completely wrong, but from my understanding that sentence has no effect on the overall policy of tolerance. Local government always had a word in the opening of coffeeshops and that will continue.
Let’s hope we have better news next time.
